If you believe travel can change person and make the world a better place, we encourage you to volunteer with the Michigan Council of HI-USA.
Volunteers enhance our ability to advance the HI-USA, Michigan Council Mission in many ways:
- Volunteers may make a one-time commitment.
- Help will be needed with our annual Paddle to the Symphony.
- College students may consider our Opening Doors, Opening Minds programs for service learning credits. The position can be reviewed at Mission-Based Youth Program Volunteer-ODOM.
- Veteran travelers are needed for our travel presentations. The position can be reviewed at Mission-Based Travel Presenter.
Steps to Becoming a Volunteer with HI-USA, Michigan Council
- Please read the job descriptions listed below carefully. Think of your interests, experiences and time commitment. Select the position that fits you the best.
- Plan to attend a New Volunteer Orientation. The upcoming dates are listed on the calendar. Please contact us if you are planning on attending. Please bring a completed Volunteer Application to the New Volunteer Orientation.
- After the New Volunteer Orientation, if volunteering with our council is a good fit, plan to attend the appropriate training or meet with the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Volunteering begins!
